Personalized Support in the Water
Helping Every Swimmer Feel Safe, Capable & Confident
Every swimmer deserves the opportunity to develop essential water safety skills. Learn 2 Swim offers adaptive aquatics lessons for children and adults with disabilities, sensory differences, developmental needs, and other challenges that may require a more individualized approach.
Our coaches take the time to understand each swimmer’s abilities, comfort level, communication style, and goals. Lessons move at a pace that supports the individual while making the experience encouraging, positive, and fun.
Lessons Centered on the Individual
Meeting Swimmers Where They Are
Adaptive aquatics is not a one-size-fits-all program. Each lesson is shaped around the swimmer, with personalized instruction and thoughtful accommodations designed to help them feel supported in the water.
Individualized Instruction
Lessons are adapted to each swimmer’s abilities, learning style, comfort level, and goals.
Water Safety Skills
Swimmers practice essential skills that can help them respond more safely and confidently around water.
Comfort & Trust
A patient, consistent approach builds comfort with the instructor, the water, and new activities.
Confidence & Independence
Each new skill gives swimmers opportunities to build confidence and become more independent in the water.
Sensory-Aware Support
Coaches adjust their approach to support sensory sensitivities, communication differences, and individual preferences.
Positive Progress
Progress is celebrated at every stage, from entering the pool more comfortably to developing stronger swimming abilities.

Patient, Encouraging Coaching
Building Skills Through Connection & Trust
Learning begins when a swimmer feels safe and understood. Our coaches focus on building trust before guiding each student toward new skills and greater independence. Lessons may include support with:
- Entering and exiting the pool
- Floating and keeping position
- Breath control and submersion
- Kicking and forward movement
- Treading water
- Reaching the side of the pool
- Developing swimming strokes
- Comfort and confidence
Goals are tailored to the swimmer, whether the priority is foundational water safety, greater independence, stronger technique, or simply feeling more at ease in the pool.
Get Support Through Love to Swim
Helping Remove Barriers to Essential Lessons
Love to Swim is the nonprofit side of our mission, helping children access life-saving swim instruction when financial circumstances might otherwise stand in the way.
Through scholarships and community support, the foundation helps qualifying families receive lessons through Learn 2 Swim and other participating swim schools.
